We are a very active and friendly club that welcomes playing and non-playing members from across a wide area. We have Senior Teams in the Ranston Evening League on Wednesday evenings and the MGM Sports Three Counties League on Sundays, as well as a range of fixtures against local non-league and invitation sides.
We have a strong commitment to Youth Cricket for boys and girls starting with structured coaching every Friday evening 6 – 7.30pm in the summer season, weather permitting. We run teams for Under 15′s, Under 13′s, and Under 11′s, all of which play in the North Dorset Junior League. We also have an Under 9′s side, and we are pleased to be home to North Dorset Girls.
Buckhorn Weston Cricket Club has enjoyed growth and success over the past few years and we are now looking forward to our 2012 season. We always welcome new players of all ages and abilities so if you want to get involved with one of the most exciting and fastest growing cricket clubs in the area please call Simon Dodd – 07800 993675 or email via newtalent@buckhornwestoncc.co.uk or via our contact form. Sorry but the heavy rain Thursday afternoon has washed out any chance of practice at the ground tonight. In fact it’s looking grim for any activity over the weekend too, so please watch your email and our website for any updates.

Buckhorn Weston CC has had yet more success in gaining grants to enable it to further improve the Club’s playing facilities and its coaching capabilities.
Sport England have given the Club a grant of £8,225 for the purchase of a set of three mobile covers, to protect the playing area when conditions are damp, and a bowling machine. We hope to have the bowling machine available before the end of the current winter nets programme. The covers will be delivered and assembled in April ready for the start of the outdoor playing season.
The Community Foundation for Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole, using funding provided by Comic Relief, have given the Club a grant of nearly £2,000 to pay for three of the Club’s senior players to attend Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses.
The Club gratefully acknowledges the financial help provided by both these bodies, and their support for our endeavours to provide top class playing facilities for our Club members and for visiting teams.
This year Buckhorn Weston CC’s Indoor Training will NOW START on Friday 3rd February 2012.
The sessions will take place at KINGS BRUTON SCHOOL, The Plox, Bruton, BA10 0ED. Click for a map
